Michael Artman is a graphic designer currently working as an associate creative director for Landesberg Design, an award-winning communications design firm based in Pittsburgh’s South Side.
For over a decade, Michael has worked as a designer and creative strategist specializing in identity development, illustration, and publication design for non-profits, community organizations, small businesses, artists, and individuals. Michael has a passion for refined typography, the timeless appeal of simple solutions, and the process of creative collaboration.
Previously, he was a founding partner of the lifestyle magazine Rustbelt Almanac, celebrating small business owners, artisans, artists, and activists throughout the Great Lakes region.
Michael lives and works in the splendor of Pittsburgh’s north hills with his wife and two feral children. Outside of work, he avidly avoids the grim reality of the times by splitting time photographing birds of prey, watching Penguins ice hockey and Formula 1 racing, playing Magic the Gathering, eating pierogis, stomping around the mountains in a pair of well-worn hiking boots, or doing any combination of the above, commonly with a cold beer in hand.
Michael likes hiking and biking, ice hockey and open wheel motorsport, pierogis and craft beer, mystical card games, colors, fonts, and creative collaboration with individuals, businesses, and organizations.
